DAY 1: June 11, 2019

Depart from Seattle Tacoma International Airport at 11:45 am.

Day 2: June 12, 2019

Arrive at Ben Gurion airport. Meet guide and driver. Transfer to Ramada Netanya for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: June 13, 2019

We will begin our tour at Caeserea Marittima, the ancient Herodian port where Peter brought the gospel message to Cornelius.  Paul was imprisoned in Caeserea before being taken to Rome for trial.  We continue Mt. Carmel (Muchracah) where Elijah fought the prophets of Baal and Megido, the ancient Tel in the Jezreel Valley where we will see the many layers of Biblical history.  Late afternoon, we will stop at the Mt. of Precipice overlooking Nazareth and Cana before arriving at our Tiberias hotel: Lake House Tiberias.

DAY 4: JUne 14, 2019

We will begin the day's touring with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked and his disciples fished.  From among the other sites we will visit today are the First Century Boat Museum to see the remains of a fishing boat from the time of Jesus; Mt. of Beatitudes overlooking the Galilee region where it is believed that Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount; Capernaum, Peter’s home town the ruins of Peter’s house and the ancient Synagogue; Magdala, Mary Magdalene’s village on the shores of the lake and conclude the day at the Baptismal site on the Jordan River (Yardenit). 

DAY 5: June 15, 2019

This morning, we will travel to Israel’s norther border with Lebanon to visit the head springs of the Jordan River at Tel Dan, an ancient town of the tribe of Dan where you will see the ancient city gates including one with a mention of Abraham.  We will also visit the Banias (Caeserea Philippi) Nature Reserve below Mt. Hermon where Peter recognized Jesus as the Messiah.  We will conclude the day with a visit to Tabgha and Kursi.

DAY 6: June 16, 2019

This morning, we will travel south through the Jordan River Valley. Our first stop is the ruins of Beth Shean, an ancient Roman city of the Decapolis near Mt. Gilboa where Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle.  We will continue south past Jericho to the site of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.   We will then check into our Dead Sea hotel (Hod Dead Sea), the lowest place in the face of the earth in time to enjoy the hotel spa and a swim in the medicinal waters of the salt lake.

DAY 7: June 17, 2019

This morning, we will ascend to Masada, a Herodian fortress and last hold out for the Jewish rebels against Rome in the years 73 and 74 AD.  We continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi where David hid from Saul before traveling through the Judean wilderness past the Good Samaritan Inn.  You will view the city of Gold from Mt. Scopus before checking into your hotel (Grand Court Jerusalem).

DAY 8: June 18, 2019

(Early morning visit to Temple Mount if the site will be open.) This morning, we will visit the City of David Archaeological site, including Hezekiah’s Tunnel for those interested.  This is the site of the Jebusite city conquered by King David which he made as his capital city and where the Kings of Jerusalem ruled.  We continue up to Mt. Zion where we will visit the Upper Room where Jesus had his last supper with the Disciples and the Holy Spirit fell on the disciples on the day of Pentecost.  You will also see the entrance to what some believe is David’s Tomb.  We will enter the Old City via Zion Gate to Jewish Quarter to visit the Cardo, Broad Wall, Western Wall, and Southern Steps of the Temple which are the remains of the ancient Temple. 

DAY 9: June 19, 2019

This morning, we will drive past the Supreme Court and view of the Knesset and Menorah.  We will also visit the Israel Museum including the Second Temple Period Model and Shrine of the Book (Quman scrolls), as well as Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum.  In the afternoon, we will visit the Mahane Yehuda farmer's market.

DAY 10: June 20, 2019

Today, we will follow the way of Jesus' suffering beginning at the Mt. of Olives overlooking Jerusalem and continue down the Palm Sunday Path to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed, "Not my will, but Your's be done." before He was arrested by the Romans.  We will enter the Old City via the Lion's Gate and visit the Pools of Bethesda, the "House of Grace", where Jesus healed the man born lame on the Sabbath.  We will continue along the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) through the Old City.  There, we will visit the Caiaphas House (St. Peter's of Gallicantu) where Peter denied Jesus.  Our day will be concluded at Golgotha and the Garden Tomb for communion.  We will end our day with dinner and a time to share memories and experiences before transferring to the airport to return home. 

DAY 11: JUne 21, 2019

Depart Ben Gurion Aiport at 1:00 am.
